Peter has over 35 years of experience in various accounting, assurance and management roles in the UK, Victoria and Queensland, including 12 years at Deloitte.
His career includes senior management positions in audit, assurance, corporate finance, corporate advisory, commercial, management consulting and marketing, working with a diverse range of clients and businesses from multi-national corporations to privately owned companies; from Indigenous local governments to government-owned corporations; and across public and private sectors.
Peter has been the auditor and/or trusted accounting advisor of most of the public sector entities in the Cairns and North Queensland region over the past 25 years. Twice he has been recognised as the leading public sector auditor in Queensland.

Throughout his career Peter has contributed to the accounting profession in Australia and New Zealand by serving on local, state, national and Trans-Tasman accounting bodies. He is a former State Chairman of the Queensland Council of Chartered Accountants Australia + New Zealand (CAANZ), as well as serving as a member of the CAANZ Audit Advisory Committee and the Australian Regional and Rural Advisory Committee for many years. Peter is a mentor of the younger Altius team members who are studying for the Chartered Accountant qualification.
